Nick Sagan (Star Trek: Voyager) returns to take a planetary revolution across the Solar System in the sequel to Shrapnel: Aristeia Rising. In the distant future, an oppressive government seeks to impose its sovereignty upon Earth and all her colonies. Only Venus remains independent,having fought the Solar Alliance to a bloody stalemate,thanks to ex-Marine and former Alliance war hero, Vijaya "Sam" Narayan. Now,under constant barrage from orbit,and kept from replenishing much-needed supplies by a planetary blockade,the colonists of Venus find themselves in desperate circumstances. But unwilling to let their stand be in vain, Narayan returns to help reverse their fortunes before time runs out once and for all.
